Mono Lake and the Eastern Sierra
I had the pleasure and privilege of participating in a John Sexton Photography Workshop encompassing Mono Lake and the Eastern Sierra. The workshop took place during the first week of October 2011. We had to alter our shooting plans do to an early snowstorm in the higher elevations of Yosemite. Tioga Pass did eventually re-open and we were able to get excellent shooting opportunities within Yosemite. The high altitudes that we shot from made me realize the necessity for carrying gear that is as light as possible including the need for a carbon fiber tripod. The post processing techniques that I applied to these photographs were taught to us by Charles Crammer another great photographer who assisted us during the week.
